Coffee, Connections and Community

I was introduced to high quality, freshly roasted coffee through running. While training for marathons, my friends and I would meet at local coffee shops in Lawrence, Kansas, run whatever distance was required that day, and then enjoy a nice cup of coffee and wonderful conversation. This time was cherished and sacred.

As the years passed, the running distances became shorter, and our coffee time became longer. It wasn’t just about running and coffee but the relationships that formed.

After relocating to St. Louis (area code 314), I purchased a small coffee roaster and began roasting beans for personal use. Once I began sharing with friends, I was reminded of the joy that sharing coffee could bring. Coffee serves as a reminder to slow down, savor the moment and create meaningful connections.

I rediscovered my passion for coffee shared with friends, and Roasted 314 was born!
